We’re searching for energetic performers to join our Cosmic Collective for Contact Festival. As part of this alien rave squad, you'll roam the festival, hyping up crowds, interacting with attendees, and delivering an unforgettable out-of-this-world experience.
You'll be expected to learn 2 x 30 second dances and interact with guests on the festival floor while embodying our alien character.
Requirements:

Age: 19+

Personality: Outgoing, energetic, and confident. You must be comfortable staying in character while interacting with festival-goers.

Performance Skills:

Ability to quickly learn choreography and freestyle on the floor

Availability: Must be available for rehearsals (dates TBD) and Contact Festival event dates: December 27–28, 2024.
Submission:

Routine: You will be given a pre-choreographed routine to learn and perform.

Freestyle: After the routine, you'll perform a short freestyle (30-60 seconds) in character. This will allow us to see how well you stay in character while improvising and engaging with an imagined crowd.

Wear form-fitting, comfortable dance attire, all black, and stage makeup with hair pulled away from your face. Sneakers are fine.

The Character
A group of aliens who are fun and bubbly, but with an unmistakable alien stoicism. The key to this persona is balance—energetic and interactive with the crowd but maintaining an air of mystery, as though the performer is observing humanity with intrigue.

Energetic, friendly, and eager to engage with festival-goers. The alien character will smile, give high-fives, and interact in playful ways.

Despite the fun and outgoing nature, the character will maintain a level of composure. The performer will act as if they are from another planet—curious about the humans around them but slightly distant, with an almost robotic precision to their movements. This mix of bubbly energy and quiet mystery will create a unique contrast and keep the crowd intrigued.

Body Language: The performer should have fluid, graceful movements with an occasional "otherworldly" quality—like slow-motion or exaggerated gestures, as though they are still learning how to blend in on Earth. Think minimalistic but fluid and hypnotic, almost like a robot learning to have fun.
